Data published recently by Gartner shows that Samsung is the company with the largest Android handset sales in the U.S. market. The study applies the period Q3 2010, when Samsung has achieved a market share of 32.1% in the U.S. smartphone segment.
The increase is significant, especially compared with 22.9% share in the fourth quarter of last year. The reason for this development? Samsung S Galaxy, which has already exceeded 3 million units sold in the States. Different versions of the handset have been sold by the major overseas operators, be it AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular and Cellular South.
Please note that handset brandingurile were different for each operator so that the public had the choice, especially given the variety of offers subscriptions available.
