Research company Nielsen gave a report to the public, by which Google Android has become no. 1 on the American market, beyond the RIM and Apple, that after it has surpassed the Nokia and Symbian.

Nielsen report show us that Google's Android has reached a market share of 29% in the U.S., of which Apple over IOS has a share of 27%, as well as RIM Blackberry have all 27% on the smart phone segment. In January 2011, another research firm Canalys-reported as Android has surpassed Symbian to Nokia.

Also, the folks at Nielsen, published and trends of purchasing a smartphone on the different categories of age and found that Android is chosen, in particular, of young people. In addition, Apple and RIM (each with 27%) are in first place in market share and HTC climbed on third place with devices running Windows Mobile-7% and 12% with Android.
